Oakley Walls 04:36
Within these walls the ghosts talk They whisper on the stairs They think I cannot hear them They think they'll catch me unawares. But I see through them, I hear their song, I know their secrets I've known them all along. Without these walls the wind blows It howls across the moor It's blowing from the cold North sea And it rattles at my door. Within these walls the fire glows Within these walls there's friends Within these walls love sings A song that never ends. Without these walls the fighter jets Are roaring down the valley side They shatter my thoughts, my dreams And leave me no place to hide. But the traveller's tree protects me Under its berried bough. Its seed was sown before men flew Its sap still rising now. Without these walls the tree-cracked sky Frames the dark clouds rolling by The skylark's song, the curlew's cry The only sounds I hear. Within these walls there's music, Strange notes and sounds That mingle with the midnight air As ghosts are gathering round.

Appaloosa 03:15
I'm gonna find an appaloosa He's gonna teach me how to ride All the things I should be learning About how to feel inside. Some times I'm getting glimpses Of a flashing eye and tail But he always slips right by me And keeps me on his trail. If you spot my appaloosa Will you give me a shout? Cos I'm gonna keep on chasing Find out what it's all about. And if I get to ride him I think, at last, I will be free Looking out for one another My appaloosa and me. He'll have no saddle or no bridle We'll follow rivers where they flow. Sometimes we'll climb a mountain So we can build on what we know. If you spot my appaloosa Will you give me a shout? Cos I'm gonna keep on chasing Find out what it's all about. We'll be living for the moment And i think it's going to last Forget looking to the future And living in the past. So if you're searching for wild horses And you see us riding by We'll be sure to let you follow On our way up to the sky. If you spot my appaloosa Will you give me a shout? Cos I'm gonna keep on chasing Find out what it's all about. Yeah if you spot my appaloosa Just give me a shout. Cos I'm gonna keep on chasing Find out what it's all about.

Drawing 02:19
In this drawing of you That I need to finish before you go I describe you now It will help me to remember In this drawing of you I try to capture your soul The art of letting go I release you, but remember... Paint tells more than a photograph The things you do The way you laugh Lines and marks etch through your soul The scars will heal and make you whole In this drawing of you Is my love for all you've done for me All the things you are to me I will remember.

Starlings 04:26
Jewel birds gather Rising and falling Caught in some dance Hypnotic, enthralling One bird alights And a smaller group flies Whispering, twittering Make for the skies Murmuring, murmuring When will you be Wrapping and flapping Safe home to me? Twist like a cyclone Ducking and diving Starlings my darlings At dusk are arriving Thousands and thousands A twisting cloak turning Darken the skies As the last rays are burning Murmuring, murmuring When will you be Wrapping and flapping Safe home to me? Bird calls and feathers Whistling and whirring Sparkling birds Gathering, conferring Swooping and whooping They plunge from their flight Under the pier To be safe for the night Murmuring, murmuring When will you be Wrapping and flapping Safe home to me?

Dancing 04:04

Jack's friends are hard to please For all they see they can do with ease But when they heard the song you sang I could see that the magic had begun And oh when I heard your voice I could see from that moment that I had no choice So hold my hand won't you come along? I want to wake every morning just to hear your song Jack's friends are hard to move They never leave a step to chance But you should have seen that look of love When they saw that you had joined the dance. And oh when I heard your voice I could see from that moment that I had no choice So hold my hand won't you come along? I want to wake every morning just to hear your song

Lovely Joan 03:12
A fine young man it was indeed He was mounted on his milk white steed. He rode, he rode himself all alone Until he came to lovely Joan. "Good morning to you pretty, fair maid!" "And twice good morning, sir." she said. He gave her a wink, she rolled her eye, Thinks he to himself, 'I'll be there by and by!" "Oh don't you think these pooks of hay A pretty place for us to play? So come with me like a sweet young thing, And I'll give you my golden ring." Then he took off his ring of gold. "My pretty miss do this behold! I'd freely give it for your maidenhead." Her cheeks they blushed like the roses red. "Give me that ring into my hand And I will neither stay nor stand. For this would do more good to me Than twenty maidenheads." said she. And as he made for the pooks of hay She leapt on his horse and tore away He called, he called but it was all in vain. Young Joan she never looked back again. She did not think herself quite safe. No not till she came to her true love's gate. She's robbed him of his horse and ring And left him to rage in the meadows green.

From the sweet port of Derry To fair London town There is no finer harbour All around to be found. Where the children each evening Go down by the shore And they join in the dance With the maids of Culmore. And the first time I saw her She passed me by, And the next time that I saw her She'd a tear in her eye, But the last time I saw her My heart grieved full sore For she sailed down Loch Foyle And away from Culmore. And had I the power The storms for to rise I would blow the winds higher And darken the skies. I would blow the winds higher, Cause the seas for to roar For the day my love sailed Far away from Culmore. And the first time I saw her She passed me by, And the next time that I saw her She'd a tear in her eye, But the last time I saw her My heart grieved full sore For she sailed down Loch Foyle And away from Culmore. To the far lands of America My love I'll go see, And it's there I'll no no-one And no-one knows me. And if I do not find her I'll return home no more. Like a pilgrim I will wander Far away from Culmore. And the first time I saw her She passed me by, And the next time that I saw her She'd a tear in her eye, But the last time I saw her My heart grieved full sore For she sailed down Loch Foyle And away from Culmore.

White witch winter won't go away Outstayed it's welcome now the snow's turned grey Find me a boat, sail me away. Sail me to an April day Or a bluebell wood filled with scents of May And a path that leads down to Soldier's Bay. Sail me to a day in July Swifts scream over a slate grey sky Rain may be falling and so might I. In The Forest you heard me sing An ancient song - a simple thing The only gift I had to bring. Seaflower sails the oceans wide Dolphins swimming at her side In the distance seabirds cry. Johnny built a house on the shore I don't know who he built it for But I'll be knocking on his door. White witch winter won't go away Outstayed it's welcome now the snow's turned grey Find me a boat, sail me away.

You say enjoy the journey but there's no room on your bike, There's no room on your bike I guess I'll have to hike.... You sail for the horizon but there's no room in your boat, No room in your boat Well I just hope I float.... Throw me out a tow rope I can't catch up with you Sometimes I think there's no hope What else can I do? You say you drive a fast car but you've got no room inside Got no room inside I'll have to hitch a ride. This is the road to travel on the platform of your bus Move on down inside What will become of us? Throw me out a tow rope I can't catch up with you Sometimes I think there's no hope What else can I do? We're driving through the mountains in your camper van On the Bealach na Ba You can prove that you're a man. Single track with passing places up the mountain side And down to Loch Kishorn It's a roller coaster ride. Throw me out a tow rope I can't catch up with you Sometimes I think there's no hope What else can I do? You created a diversion and went down another track And I went off the rails Are you ever coming back? Don't want to go my own way 'cos I can't bear the load, I can't bear the load At the end of the road. Throw me out a tow rope I can't catch up with you Sometimes I think there's no hope What else can I do?

Barn Owl 04:32
I heard and echo on your voice And saw a barn owl rising in the dark A thought passed that it might be the last that I would see. Which way to turn It's lonely in the night And who would lose Not to see that owl in flight? Glide into the night. I saw the faces of my friends And felt them reaching out to me They're so beautiful and I cannot leave them behind. Which way to turn It's lonely in the night And who would lose Not to see that owl in flight? Glide into the night. Did I find you waiting there for me? And like a child I'd fall into your arms Wrapped in your love I hope that I would find where I belong. Which way to turn It's lonely in the night And who would lose Not to see that owl in flight? Glide into the night.

My birds have all flown away And left me without their singing And although it was just yesterday It feels like a lifetime. I walked with you under the trees Black branches still cling to their nests Those are my birds that fly on the breeze Can you hear their music? Birds fly Children grow Leaves fall Then you'll know..... When you are a man you will know That you cannot possess them Like leaves from the trees they will blow Enjoy them while you may.....
